Pelung is one of the 31 Indonesia’s native fowl breeds which potentially become meat producer. Breeding of Pelung and Broiler aimed to produce a broiler-type hybrid chicken with superior phenotype characteristics of its parentals. Hybrid chicken (Kambro) were developed through a diverse range of other breedings to produce Indonesia’s pure strain of local broiler-type chicken to reduce the reliance of imported Broiler chicken. The phenotype characteristics examined including the weight growth of hybrid chicken and morphometrical measurement. The method used was breeding between Broiler hen Cobb 500 with Pelung cock black Blirik. Qualitative observation method including observation of feather color, beak color, shank color, comb color and comb shape. Quantitative methods using the ratio of  weight growth for 7 weeks between Broiler, Pelung  and  Kambro and morphometrical ratio of femur and tibia between Broiler, Pelung and Kambro. Regression analysis between weight growth ratio of Kambro and Pelung was significant and approaching the average growth of the Broiler, weighing 1,175.02 grams/7 weeks. Ratio analysis of femur and tibia using Student Test was significant between Kambro against Broiler and Pelung. Qualitative observation and quantitative analysis that was used specifies Kambro as broiler-type hybrid chicken with superior phenotype characteristics of its parentals.
